I am a keen holder of shares in a host of mining companies in the Byrah/Yeerida basins after starting with SFR. I used to look at Barrick Golds tenement with all those fault lines staring back at me, and when I realised the size of this company, I thought it would be difficult for one mining area to make much of an impression on Barrick's share price. When Dampier Gold notified their IPO to purchase a large part of Barrick Plutonic's tenement I had my application done in a flash. Dampier will acquire a package of prospective tenements covering nearly 700 sq Km with a defined mineral resource of 264000 oz Au and ore reserves of 35000 oz Au, and lots of inventory of shallow, defined gold mineralisation.
