With new records being set for left wing stupidity daily, Andrews has decided not to be outdone.  He intends to change rental laws again to limit rent increases to once every two years and also implementing a cap on the amount of increase allowed.

Even the extremists at The Conversation know enough about economics and history to know this has never worked, nor can it ever work.

"A key insight of Adam Smith is that enforcing lower prices in markets experiencing surging demand and stagnant supply does little to support consumers. Price control cannot address scarcity. Fixing prices at lower levels will merely enforce existing demand patterns. This will result in worse shortages for many consumers down the line."

There's no shortage of material out there that shows why price controls don't work, there's also plenty of examples of what eventually happens when you try.

Property prices will increase even more and rents are going to the moon if this numpty stays in power
