It is important to have passion in life. Display it in spades with your football club. Believe passionately in your kids and what they can do.
But an equity or a sector? Be quietly confident based on research that an equity or a sector is going to be a sound investment. Back your judgement and invest an appropriate amount on your chosen equity. But be open to the possibility that any company or sector can go pear shaped. So invest an amount keeps your portfolio balanced- that does not leave you in financial crisis if the proverbial hits the fan- that allows you to still meet commitments. And sleep soundly. And stay one eyed about other things.
BTW, I like the destination shopping concept. Hoping to consider a purchase in a few weeks- if SCG is the best investment at that stage. The SP is starting to get compelling again.
