    No, an entire industry is out of work. including those in domestic housing who have nothing to do with the cfmeu. The majority of the industry is vaccinated. This was about the mandatory vaccinations. As the rules stand, an unvaccinated apprentice would have been fired this week unless they agreed to get the shot. I'm no union man but that does not sit well with me.

    The timing of this shut down destroys the governments credibility.

    There is a noticeable issue with covid compliance in construction. But I would propose it is no worse than any of the other permitted industry at the moment. The difference for construction is that the workers are highly visible to to the public so face higher scrutiny. Step behind the front door of any other business or office and you would see minimal mask wearing also.
