I saw the demonstrations outside union office online
so now- extremists or anti Vaxers hijacked the protest - which by the way went on for hours before some violence and there wasn’t any police in sight until well into it ( another debate)
Ok so some windows smashed - and now the entire industry shut down for two weeks and reopening will depend on showing compliance - wtf
I find it interesting- sure a demonstration but was that the entire industry ? Is that the majority of workers in construction?
when there was a doctor at some engagement party - why didn’t they close down medical for two weeks?
seems the numbers protesting were a minority of the total construction workers in Victoria but they have ruled the entire sector to go home for two weeks
what about the plumber or painter out in the burbs trying to make a living- who is not a member of this union?
seems insanely heavy handed- a couple of hundred - even say 1000 displeased workers or extremists whatever you want to believe have a dust up - and hundreds of thousands of workers are sent home for two weeks just because they are in the same sector
hardcore - thought that sort of action occurred in countries with different style of governments
wonder how the female chippy or pipe boy doing maintenance out in suburbs feels this morning about their income ?
iron fist response against a few that will affect hundreds of thousands of people - and probably just as many more that feed the off them ( food transport etc etc etc)
