    Dana Petroleum Withdraws from Merger Talks with Venture
    AFX News Limited Friday, February 06, 2004



    Dana Petroleum said it has withdrawn from merger discussions with the Board of Venture Production plc.

    It said the two companies were unable to agree "a number of factors" which would have formed the basis to pursue those discussions.

    Dana will, however, continue to work closely with Venture in the two groups' 50:50 joint venture in the Greater Kittiwake Area of the North Sea.
