watso did not see the show - but economics seem to be always a part of the problem. mail order brides, seem to come to mind. from what watso has heard, old australian men, live with young women in asian countries - in a way, it is a win win situation

watso recalls reading ages ago - that after germany was defeated in the second world war - food etc, was so scarce - and if a family had a young daughter, then it was expected that she "befriend" an american - simply as a way to get some sustenance.

anyway, the WEST,s postion in afgahinstan, seems to be so complicated - poppy fields were a no no during the rule of the taliban, it could be that the dancing boys were also a no no etc etc. probably corrupt people were beheaded etc etc (that took care of corruption)
