I think the the posters who need to give our marty a bit of credit are not his critics, but those who get defensive about him copping a bit of sledging.

I hope i'm not speaking out of turn here, but it seems to me that after 190 years of tireless enthusiasm, if he wasn't really up for being under the spotlight and all that it entails, he wouldn't be so mischievous and provocative.

Give the man a bit of credit. He may make a lot of dud calls, he may even make some timeless calls, but whatever the case, the real show is the emotion on the floor that he conjures wherever he goes. Heck, I think the only times I've visited the XJO thread in the last 3 years have been to see what all the hoo-haa was about when he rides back into town on his Shetland pony.

PS I'll bring the kids down for Christmas, mum, if it really is you.

Everyone is just sharing own views, you might have the same opinion or complete opposite one. That's what the stock market does, always has different views: bullish or bearish, which leads to buy or sell.

My personal view, is there any catalyst to push global stock market higher? Only good reason I can think is that US economy has been recovering. But, second biggest economy, China, is ending multi decade rapid growth, and seems spreading around the world. So, there are not many stuff to cheer up the stock market.

When no one or not many to buy stocks, but rather sell/are selling stocks, to push valuation to extremely cheap levels, then we will be bracing with another bull market.
