Any Union I have been a member of, if there was any discrepency as to what action was being taken for what reason was very short lived. If we believed in something enough to strike hence lose money believe me the Union thugs as you call them would NOT have been stupid enough to go against what we voted on as a whole.
As I've said in other posts there are good & bad in every part of life, the few that have gone to the extreme in Unions are only a very small minority BUT what some people fail to see is that sometimes you have to fight on the same level as your opponent & with some in business, also a minority, is as low as one can go.
There are not many people in Australia who have not benefited substancially from Unions whether it be directly or from the flow on effect, no-matter what position they now hold. Australia would surely be a very different place for workers if there were no Unions, think of the tremendous good they have done.
