we got one of these type cases happening in Brisbane. "privileged" late teen went out to kill someone/anyone and found a korean woman on her way to work at 5am in the morning and bashed her to death. Thrill killing not racial but he just apparently was determined to find out how it felt.
Now justlooking that's psychopath territory,there's examples thru history of this kind of crime.Serial Killers and in your "bugbear" rich social set,there's the US 1930's example of Leopold and Loeb.
Anyway we seem to be dealing with a generation bringing gutter dog tactics of street fighting right into the general public entertainment precincts. 'Tough Guys" like these used to operate in dive pubs like waterside workers ones. That society used to sort them out. Not much "Glory" in king hitting and was a bit non Queensberry rules to use excessive booting.Certainly they weren't seen as heros just establishing their cred[ibility] as Standover merchants.

Society has tried the death penalty to frontal lobotomies on these "personalities".They've dumped the State Mental Hospital Bedlam solution for the Private Enterprise prison technique.
Let's hope this victims' family can rally the public to attempt once more to "moderate" this "clique's'/society strata" but justlooking abuser pays let alone calling for the death penalty just won't do it.
