I'm very surprised too. I still don't think a murder charge will stick. As i have said before, if a murder charge can get downgraded to manslaughter when a man stabs his wife 14 times for threatening to leave him, I just can't see this bloke getting convicted of murder.
He is a thug, a scumbag, but it would be hard to prove he intended to kill him, unless the mixed martial arts background has so much of an influence on the charge. He'd be very hard done by if he gets convicted of murder, not that i have any pity for him.
