Victoria is named after Queen Victoria which is not sexist and is allowed, but calling a state Queensland only references one gender honorific hereditary title.
Bit like Isle of Man, Queenstown on the South Island of East Australasia a.k.a New Zealand a.k.a. Aotearoa.
I doubt Queen Victoria would want anything to do with a place now becoming a laughing stock reminding everyone of Monty Python skits.
