In deriving that 1.4% death rate, how can it be known how many people have contracted it?
And as for 1.4% "being pretty good compared to other countries", the world's bad-boy poster child for not shutting down, namely Sweden, has recorded a total of 5,750 deaths [*], which based on a population of some 10.2m, works out to a death rate of 0.057% (Note, not 0.57%, but fifty seven one-thousandths of one percent).
1.4% is twenty five times higher than 0.057%
How can anyone possibly say that's "pretty good"?
