For all those unaware of MAK. DAP is the final fertilizer product made from Rock Phosphate which MAK intends to mine. The price of DAP rose significantly in 2008 to over $1000 per tonne which increased the RP price to $300 per tonne at the time. The RP price lags the increases in DAP prices so it is likely RP prices will increase over the next few months to coordinate with the higher DAP price.
