DAP Rockets to $347.50 FOB Tampa from $331.25 last week! (source http://www.fertilizer-index.com/ )
This has risen from $280 in October. The strong demand with the tight supply has led to this week on week rise in the DAP prices. At $350 FOB Tampa, we should be looking at $120-150 per tonne RP based on previous pricing history. At these prices, MAK RP is very profitable.
The pricing situation has probably entered into a panic stage now where farmers will be buying up more DAP to lock in the prices, which will escalate the prices more in the short term.
