Sounds like you follow the advice of Depression-era American humorist Will Rogers on how to make money in the stock market:

"BUY a good stock, wait for it to go UP, then SELL it. If it doesn't go UP, don't BUY it..."

My personal strategy with WES has always been:

"BUY a bunch of WES shares. Put them in a bottom desk drawer (harder to do now that you no longer get share certificates). Check the price once a decade (or once a year if you're the impatient type). Leave them to your children."

Granted, some YEARS they go backwards, but they look awfully good on a DECADE-TO-DECADE basis: expecially to the Westralian Farmers Coop members whose 1984 Entry Price was $0.50!
