We all know that RETAIL is the main game for WES now, but keep an eye out for how the Griffin Coal Admininistration turns out.
It's open to question whether WES would be allowed to buy Griffin's Collie coal assets, but nobody else could get anywhere near the synergies of WES' Premier Coal.
Remember when Wesfarmers bought the Curragh coal mine for $200 million after Arco spent $500-$600 million building it? What a boomer that deal turned out to be in the year coal's EBIT beat Bunnings!
