wogar u have asked this exact question before and i copy my reply from post on WES from 11/08/09.
'wogarlb raises a valid point. HC doesn't offer options for short-sellers to clearly explain their sentiment. Hence i do following: If short and feel SP will fall i tick boxes : sentiment sell, stk held. So after i closed my short i wrote: sentiment hold (as i reckon WES is a hold) , stk none. My posts clearly described when i entered and exited my position in WES. Am sticking with my 50c final div for 09 and best guesstimate is 90c total divs for FY10'.
To repeat/clarify: Currently I am short WES after averaging in at 31.60.
