The early explorers, settlers, officials and missionaries made detail notes of the aboriginals they encountered. Fortunately when Australia was settled the scientific method was in high esteem. Captain Cook travelled with a botanist.
It is very well established and documented that aboriginals were nomadic hunter gatherers. Generations of Australians were taught this.
A chap called Pascoe is trying to rewrite history with a book named “Dark Emu”. In it he claims aboriginals had sophisticated dwellings, agriculture and irrigation. His claim to be an aboriginal and the claims of his book are thoroughly discredited.
Yet the ABC is peddling his nonsense and it is now on school curriculums. It suits their agenda to teach that aboriginals were more advanced even if it isn’t true.
