Inventories increased to A$297.3 million as at 30 June 2021 from A$216.3 million as at 31 December 2020. This was mainly due to increased inventories of raw materials (including power inventory) as a result of the Sarawak Plant running 12 out of 16 furnaces in total and contributed further by the 1 month shut-down of the Plant from the end of May to the end of June 2021.

With the world today it’s all about power costs and available power, OMH not only has a 20 year contract it also has significant inventory of power already paid for.

power costs have increased around the world massively in the past 6 months, OMH has a book value of $293mil of inventory however if you convert this to world prices the inventory must be worth north of a $750mil, we don’t know the % component for power so it could be much higher
