A power station was hit by lightning but the storm that brought that was accompanied by very high wind gusts that brought down high voltage transmission lines at a number of separate locations.
Fortunately the cell missed Adelaide itself but some country towns got a real battering.
My area just experienced high wind with a short deluge of rain, then no wind and continued rain.
Mini tornadoes were reported in the North of the state, unroofing houses.
Power being gradually restored.
