Reality may be singular, but the sense of it is not.

G.d and Special Creation are not an inseparable pairing. One does not define the other, except in a fundamental religious context which has been shown to be no more than a stubborn state of ignorance and superstition.

Let the lies unwind. You may not build a cohesive understanding by cherry-picking from religious texts, but religious texts are not static, unmovable objects. Anybody reading the Bible today must now do so in the context of todays scientific understanding and what comes out of it is that the Scriptures were rarely if ever literal.

Science has absolutely disproven Special Creation, but don't underestimate the limitations of science. With all the knowledge and benefits that science has given us it has not been able to scratch the surface of the big questions.

So we have, lies, pick and choose, brainwashing, weak argument, failings in understanding, I think you are hinting at something, what could it be?

All the major religions are ancient and reflect their time and place, compare the scientific understanding in the same ages as the major religions formed. Now it's true that while science has advanced in leaps and bounds and religion has remained mired in the bog of ignorance, superstition and dogma, that has no bearing on whether physical reality was caused and directed by some unknowable force to turn out just the way it has.

If you dismiss any possibility of some kind of force of god, and I certainly do not mean the god of religion which is a human construct, then you are left with science without answers and contradicting in some cases its own laws in an attempt to get rid of this G.d problem completely.

It would be not too much to ask that science dismiss nothing until it has better answers than it has. Science has no more answers than the Creationists and that is a fact. Science is brilliant at describing physical reality, evolution, etc, but it does not know how or why it all began in the first place.
