re: screens: ++ cost and revenue per sq m ++ I did have a look at screen sizes and revenues using dates from Stockness-See my study, Post 1:
    http://www.hotcopper.com.au/post_thread.asp?fid=1&tid=56268&sym=LUM#141648

Data is scanty as sometimes the revenue is left out, however,
Date 16/8/2001: Claude screen, value $1 mill; size 120 sq m.

Dates 18/12/2002/ 16/5/2003: Barcelona, value $1m; it does not give the size but could be similar to that of
Claude-see previous date, say 120 sq m and net revenue is $A800,000.

Date: 12/6/2003, US, no valuation but size is 300sq m. and revenue is $A2 mill.
Comments: The first date gives us 120 sq m. Date 18/12 will give us about $A800,000 revenue.

On that basis, the 12/6/2003 date wil give us also a revenue of $800,000, if the screen were 120 sq. m., thus, we can calculate net revenue/ sq m=$A 6666.6666

We already know that for 120 sq m. the value is $1 mill. Thus, the value of a 300 sq. m screen (Date 12/6/2003) will be $2.5 mill or per sq m: $A 8888.3333

So, one can deduce 2 items:
    Value per sq m screen: $A 8333.3333

Revenue per sq m screen: $6333.3333

Conclusion: Revenue income is exceptionally good. Disregarding other costs including depreciation, the revenue would take 1.32 years to cover the value ("cost") of the screen.

Depreciation allowances on the old type display screens must be very high. LUM is lucky because it will be using those allowances on their much longer lasting screens and this will pump out more cash.

Subject to audit. In some cases revenues may perhaps vary depending on location but I belief that these estimates are useful.
