Oct 3, 2003: "pSivida currently owns 42.85% of pSiMedica, but with related parties controls 50.79%, and following this investment will move to a direct holding of 46.26% and with related parties will control 53.05%.

It is intended that pSivida will permit an industry partner and European cross-over funds, who will support the IPO in the UK, to invest in pSiMedica on the same terms in the next few months.

In compensation for waiving its pre-emptive rights, pSivida expects to take on a significant part of the BioSiliconTM platform directly as a basis for establishing a wholly owned diagnostics business utilising BioSiliconTM."
