Data-inCrypt® JOINS AUSCERT
Synergy Equities Group Limited (“SYNERGY”, ASX : SYG) advises that its wholly owned subsidiary Data-inCrypt®
has become a member of AusCERT, Australia's national computer emergency response team. AusCERT provides a
coordination role for handling computer security incidents between affected parties for the benefit of Australian
networks and is recognised throughout the world for its computer security expertise, its work to raise awareness of
computer security issues and its strong focus in the Asia Pacific region.
Data-inCrypt®’s membership of AusCERT complements its membership of the International Association of Privacy
Professionals (the ASX announcement of 04 Sep 08 refers) by placing it at the forefront of the IT security and privacy
arenas in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region at large, whilst also enhancing the strength and security of the service
offered by the SYNERGY Group to its hosted service application customers, including those using Data-inCrypt® SMX
secure registered email and “online data backup & recovery”.
Furthermore, Data-inCrypt® intends to exhibit SMX secure registered email at AusCERT’s annual Asia Pacific
Information Security Conference in May 2009. AusCERT’s annual conference is an international event focusing on IT
security for CIOs, CTOs, CFOs and technical staff from government agencies, universities and industry, and features
both local and international expert speakers.
