I firmly believe in this project.
The SI is a young fledgling democracy. They are trying to do the right thing, and it takes time to build and cross check new laws and policies. The SI Government has learned that establishing policies on the run leaves them open for legal challenges, as any Sumitomo Lawyer knows only too well. This is the main reason it’s taking so long, the SI Government does not want to make more mistakes.
Time and time again, Axiom has proven that we can explore, mine and have customers in waiting. We have the backing of the Customary Landowners; who are just as keen to start the project as us shareholders. These facts will bode very well when we re-apply for the Kolosori Tenement.
If Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and his Government are serious about starting mining and establishing their own income, they will award the new tender to the mining company that has a proven record.
Anything less is a further failure.
