As a pom recently returned in the last month to the UK from Perth and invested on the ASX it is an interesting cultural observation. I've been having a few job interviews of late, and to turn up without a suit would more or less rule me out of said position. Having lived in Australia for nearly 5 years previously I am finding it difficult to be judged at all times by what I wear. I never felt that issue in Australia, having been to job interviews in Perth (construction white collar) wearing a pair of smart jeans and a shirt with no tie and been successful. I'm with you, the important message is what is coming out of the guys mouth, as for PB being a Geo I expected him to be in cargo pants and a checked shirt!
