I’m definitely old enough to know Contiki, been on a few myself actually! So you’re not the only one showing your age here. Good times (and questionable decisions).
On IMU, yeah, we’ve all seen the early days of waiting around with a lot of negative sentiment. But with the consolidation now, it’s like we’ve been reset to square one. Let’s be real: if there’s no Big Pharma deal, no breakthrough cure, nothing major to drive the share price up, this becomes a trader’s game.
To put it in perspective: say someone bought 1 million shares at 10 cents, that's a $100,000 investment. At today’s price of 2.2 cents, that holding is now worth $22,000. Painful, but still something.Now factor in the 34:1 consolidation. That same holder ends up with just 29,411 shares. And if the post-consolidation price drifts down to 2 cents which isn't far-fetched without real news that holding drops to $588.22.That’s a 97% drop from today, and a 99.4% loss from the original investment.(I’m pretty sure that’s right—and it makes sense.)
And sure, maybe there's something strategic behind the consolidation like attracting institutional interest or prepping for a future raise. But without a clear narrative or near-term catalyst, it's hard to see how that helps retail holders in the meantime. That’s not exactly a win.Without solid news, these usually drift down.
So unless one of those irons in the fire really hits, we're not branding cattle—we're just getting burned!!!
