I think we can all agree that consolidation doesn’t change the market cap, or your overall investment value, at the moment the consolidation occurs.
However, what happens post consolidation is the issue.
And post consolidation, in most instances means another opportunity to run down to zero.
We know NEU is an example of consolidation for the benefit of shareholders. And they continue the buy back, to benefit shareholders.
IMU, hmmm, we just “rely on the science”. What management has sprouted to date, and what has grown, clearly has put fear that this in another case of declining price, and an opportunity to be placed back up the mountain to decline again. A very different position to NEU pre consolidation.
Do I trust the science? My brother is no longer here, post pancreatic cancer, but he was fortunate to have extra time. That’s all I can say.
