Making predictions about the future can only be based on assumptions.

But I would rather see the positives when compared to some climate deniers who say things such as; we need pandemics, starvation, wars and sterilization to get the world's population down. Of course they expect people in poor countries to do all the dying.

There are hundreds of billions of dollars being invested in nuclear fusion at the moment and it has been suggested we could have had it going by now if big money was invested several decades ago.

Those involved understand the complexities of building a fusion reactor that will supply unlimited and clean energy, but human ingenuity is sharpened when the world is confronted with a serious challenge to our way of life.

Given 2 or 3 decades we should have mastered nuclear fusion and once that happens we can easily support 10 billion people. With unlimited energy we can grow crops in multistory buildings and desalinate or purify as much water as we want. Transport can be cheap and the environment can be allowed to regenerate.

A lack of imagination seems to be a common theme when reading posts from climate deniers. Comments like this from @rogerken serves as a good example of narrow mindedness and self-serving arrogance.

so it should be no surprise that some people, people with intelligence, people who questions things look for evidence and search for the truth, might be skeptical of the global warming alarmists; we call these people conservatives........

Looking at the populations of Asian countries I don't think impotency is a big issue in general and Viagra works a lot better than a tiger's penis.
