If he can manage to fund a legal challenge (does Dick Smith have deep pockets?) there will be many ways he can argue against the ruling. Not least of which will be constitutional challenges relating to the legality of the Military Tribunal and the application of a conviction in a foreign jurisdiction.
Maybe the various writers conventions can do a whip around? Maybe HC posters would contribute?
