Mr Barlow can criticise government policy as much as he wants, but at the end of the day TPG is a corporation that has to operate under the rules the government dictates.
If TPG tries to game the system, their mobile competitors are put at a disadvantage by not doing the same, so the government will have to step in and defend 'their $50B investment'.
It would not be hard to extend the RBS rules to apply to metropolitan fixed wireless and mobile that is being used to bypass established NBN, the legislation currently states the RBS is intended to 'capture a line that runs most of the way to the premises but is then connected to the premises over a short distance using wireless or mobile technology', and also that is at least 25Mbps
If TPG intends to fight the Government and three stronger opponents they are making it hard for themselves.
An ego can be a dangerous thing.
