Working for a large manufacturing org, I can tell you how complicated the processes is, in getting a product to market A smart coy would evaluate the potential which would include financial returns as well as technical aspects/abilities. It goes without saying that the larger the org the longer and more hesitant (and more thorough)they tend to be.
At some stage they would say "now we need to do a scaled rollout" and I am confident that this is what it is.
Take Holden/Ford as an example. They add some feature to a vehicle which is peculiar to one variety of a model. If it goes down well with the buying public, they add it to all varieties at the next model.
That is sensible as well as being cautious.
