Here is Davo's Statement to Elk offering himself up for election.
Statement from Mr David Middleton
To Elk Petroleum shareholders
We are a group of 20+ shareholders “Group ELK” who hold hold over 7% of issued capital. We represent a diverse range of investors
and believe we are well aligned to the vast majority of shareholders, with holdings ranging from 35,000 through to 1.3mil shares.
Several top20 holders are also within our group. The majority of “Group ELK” are long term holders having been with the company for
several years. We believe it is vital to have a shareholder representative on the ELK board to ensure that all decisions going forward
are in the best interests of all shareholders. We have nominated our candidate Mr David Middleton for election as a director at the
annual general meeting. We believe through his input that the company can be fully aware of the potential effects on shareholders
of any decisions that are put forward and work to make sure the best interests of all holders are at the forefront of decision making.
We believe the assets owned by ELK have significant potential that has not been reflected in the past performance of the company.
We also believe that our US manager Mr Chris Mullen has the potential to transform these assets and our company providing the
ELK management can give him the support needed. Going forward we wish to see ELK focus significantly more effort on increasing
cashflow than it has in the past.
Mr Middleton has a strong understanding of ELK and the direction it should be heading, is driven, motivated, and has a history
of achieving success........He has been a major shareholder in ELK since shortly after listing......He has spent a decade following the
markets and the last 5 years focussing on small oil companys.......He has held the position of director for the last 15years with his
own company.......Mr Middleton knows the dedication required to succeed, he has been an important part of the Australian Equestrian
team on a number of occasions, which included world Championships......... He also excelled in yachting twice runner up at national
championships ........Mr Middleton now wishes to invest his time in ELK and ensure it acheives the success it has always promised but
is yet to deliver.............
