I agree a lot of investors have been spooked by that . However the chilean government has agreed to honor existing contracts.
According to CNBC, Boric said that existing contracts will be honored, while expressing optimism "they could find a way to boost state participation in their operations before they expire."

We'll know soon enough Boric may shoot himself in the foot if puts foreign investors off too much, I'm sure he's aware of that.
