gse1963, Sorry, my bad. Okay, I had to read it a few times, but I get it. I can see how that would work. A similar thing would be backing an bullish engulfing after a fall. I like the mechanicalness of it - takes the guesswork and worry out. I'll experiment with it.
MG , I don't think it would work if u trade 10 sec intervals . With 1 minute intervals I prepare my order before the bar is closed [ 2 clicks ] so if the current bar goes over where I think I have to start again but I use a ladder so can just click anywhere . But also worth noting I had a success rate over 70 % for ages and then it went pair shaped and I have to be very patient on change of direction as it involves close stops . So what happened I tried to use my stoch oscillator on 1 and 5 min to gain more success but but but .
I think I need to go back to lobbing bids all over the place and using depth . so just go long now and place an opposing posi 4 or 6 points away or if bars are moving 5 -10 points like present then pick the direction and just hit the depth with an opposing posi and close stop . Dax moves so fast in 1 minute that filtered data on ninja can't cope . I have found on a few fut's platforms in the last few years that orders are filled where as the chart has not gone there . I can't afford to buy a real profesional platform and ninja is a bit cheap and nasty . ie to place a long or short on stop order u have to hold CTRL button down and click the scroll button on the mouse where as better ones u only ever use left mouse click for both sides of the depth .So very easy to hold ctrl and accidently click left button on mouse and u are long [ I am now using 2 clicks just incase but when im tired I still miss read it and get it wrong ] . DAM FRUSTRATING .
I've been trying 10 second bars but for some reason it doesn't update then chucks in a few bars . I could of set it up wrong or a ninja furphy as it doesn't like high refresh rates .
enuff woffle tonight im off to bed and live to fight another day .lol
