If we cannot make any headway on the day that last announcement was released, then yes, we can expect a down day. Gold doesn't seem to play an overly active part in ABM trading.
Nevertheless, ABM buyers were attacking the sell side at the close yesterday, so not out of the realms of possibility to see it tick upward today.
