KB has said the mine has only just started so they are not yet into the “ best” bits yet but are mining the weathered section on top and that this section contains impurities such as iron which are not found in the same % in the main ore body.They have been stockpiling some of this material and then blending this with some of the better ore coming from the mine to try and get a more consistent feed for the plant so as to get an increased yield and eventually to 75%
This start up mining is where the sub standard concentrate came from.
When the mine is operating efficiently with consistent minerals then they will be able to tune the processing plant efficiently and achieve 75% recovery - it is nearly impossible to do when the feed stock is continually changing
