Toyota in Australia used to build 1 Camry every 76 seconds, electric cars should be much simpler to assemble so I think Tesla's targets are very achievable.
I worked in the automotive assembly industry for 9 years and was amazed at how far ahead the car maker plan production of new models but manage to keep everyone in the dark about what's coming next. They all know ev's are the future but they don't want us to know that because they want us to buy what they are producing now and not wait for what's next.
No car dealer will ever tell you to wait for whats coming next. They will keep marketing petrol cars and squeeze every bit of profit they can out of the production lines until they feel they are losing market share then the switch to ev's will be almost instant for them.
