Because I have been following Lithium shares for about 3 years now. The battery manufacturers were all tooled to supply lower grade NiMH batteries and/or poorer grade Lithium. There is a reason you are seeing Tesla building their own gigafactories, do you think there would be a flurry of new factories currently under construction if they could keep up with demand.
The reason I can confidentially suggest there wont be enough Lithium from current miners, is because the ramp up of the brine miners (currently bulk of the supply) is not going well and if anything going backwards. The new hard rock miners will not be enough to supply the forecasted rise in EV sales to 2028.
Even large deposits like AVZ if it gets off the ground will be 4-6 years before they start producing Lithium, new supply/mines does not come online quickly.
Follow Joe Lowry if you wish to keep up to speed on Lithium supply/demand IMHO.
