Disagree, if demand for hydroxide and carbonate is increadibly trong why then has their price come off as much as it has. Common sense would suggest the bottleneck is further up the ev supply chain, at battery cell production.
Stockpiling of hydroxide and carbonate is 1 not practical due to short shelf life and 2 much more working capital intensive when compared to spodumene.
The upside is, any material increase in battery production capacity should see a rapid price correction, assuming ev sales continue strongly.
