One of two things will happen,
1. the electric revolution will come to a grinding halt and we will go back fossils big time , coal will go big time, petrol and diesel cars won't go away and the need for emission control will be scrapped, too costly. or
2. climate change will be recognised as a problem caused by us (not in Australia) and it will be recognised that fossils are one of the causes, the answer will be in the clean energy like more electric devises of all kinds.
That will require a lot of battery material, that is something we have so there may and I say maybe a future in lithium one can hope and dream.
