Does anyone have any thoughts on PLS +/- other Australian Li Majors building their own downstream conversion plant?
I know build costs are higher here in Aust. but surely in the context of Chinese reneging on binding MOUs and the now possible POSCO deal collapse, an Australian conversion plant would make good sense?
If PLS, Greenbushes, GXY, MIN and AJM all chipped in- maybe with some federal funding- imaging the benefits of an Australian soil conversion facility! In addition taking that chunk of Li ore off the market would create havoc for the Chinese/Korean markets.
