Hi, I take that point, and with some fear of straying PLS OT, the future will sort this out as you say. I just think that with level 1 reserve warnings getting more common, and things like the recent SA separation (25Aug from memory) then the move to non-synchronous generation and decentralised systems (including the many active consumers that we now have - and growing) should be discussed more openly and more urgently - cos that will allow the purse strings to open for a fix.
Else, all the talk of cheaper power will come to fruition in the wrong way, because it will not cost much for your power much when the grid is black and you cannot get any.
