I saw the final list of demands made by the French “gillets jaunes” yesterday. It was quite revolutionary and went well beyond the taxes on petrol and diesel. It included a demand for support for industry for “voitures à hydrogène » ie hydrogen cars - which are truly ecological contrary to electric cars » (this is my translation). This really surprised me. The French have a huge car industry. I don’t know what to make of this.
