There is approximately 71g of lithium in 1kwh.
The molecular weight of lithium is 6.94 g/mol. The molecular weight of lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) is 73.888 g/mol.

    Therefore the amount of pure lithium in a ton of Carbonate is 6.94 x 2 / 73.888 x 1000 = 188kg

The current price of Li2CO3 is approx is $14000

Therefore 188kg of pure lithium would cost $14000
    1kg of pure lithium would cost $14000/188 = $74.
    1g of pure lithium would cost $74 / 1000 or $0.74
Therefore a 1kwh battery containing 71g of pure lithium would have $0.74 x 71 or $5.20 of lithium.

What percentage this represents of the battery depends on how much the battery costs. @100/kwh it would be about 5%.

As Pokerface said: "The price of lithium could triple and it won’t have much effect on the battery price."
