Imagine if one was a shorter (and I hope some of them are reading HC)... despite one's best efforts, the SP in PLS's case is creeping up. I'd be sweating bullets - knowing I can't make sufficient margin, and knowing the piper will need to be paid at some point. And knowing that there are plenty of shorts, and if one of the larger ones decides to fold and buy back in, that will trigger a short squeeze - and you just have to hope they don't pull the pin before you've managed an orderly retreat having lost money in any event. Not a game I would have the stomach for.
