You could employ your "common sense" with stock investing or trading but the stock market doesn't work that way. Also after several more losses in the market you will adjust your behaviour and a loss will be just another loss. After hundreds and thousands of losses, a thought of pain and suffering will not even surface. Loss is part of the market and everyone's life, trust me.
