Never mind they could have guaranteed industry superfunds investment here at PLS and at AJM and KDR after bankable studies - allowing all profits and all projects to stay 100% in Australian hands. Also could have facilitated the finance from the same superfunds to allow establishing the downstram processing industry to develop entirely in Australia from all these projects.
Naah - the W.A. economy couldn't really use all those permanent FT industrial jobs in a steady industry.And Australian shareholders and superfunds reaping 100% of the benefits? Naah - lets sell if off cheap as possible to foreign financiers and corporations - same way as the gas and oil industries. Cause it's just easier, innit?

With an actual industry policy PLS and others would already be 100% funded at reasonable cost to stage 2 and POSCO plant by now with the option of ready finance for further expansion. All profits and taxes coming to Australian economy.
Bit of a hackneyed saying but we really would be the Saudi Arabia of lithium.
