It is interesting to note how estimates put out by the likes of Roskill, Benchmark, Lowry et al, are so different to those who like MacBank, Citi, MS are brokers or have a broking arm and so can drive share prices to their financial advantage.

Now we have an article from Volkswagen, the largest auto maker in the world, who know what they need to make and therefore know what materials they will need to make them and are therefore in the BEST position to know the demand side of the equation, stating that Li supply is a major concern. The article states that Li demand will need to double by 2023 and so they urgently need to lock in supply. Not all manufacturers or megafactories have locked in supply yet and all past estimates of supply have been wrong because they have over-stated future supply. They have also underestimated demand which is growing.

So the question is, who are you going to believe?

We know who'se predictions have been closer to the mark in the past. We also know that manufacturers like VW are more likely to know what they will need in future to support their manufacturing plans which are made many years in advance.

I'll believe VW ahead of bank and broker analysts any day and just cannot believe how easily people are taken in by them. IMO of course ... and good luck to all holders and future investors in PLS.
